Membership Fees with Package Options
Membership? Yes, when you provide a monetary donation to NASD we consider you a Member. However to receive certification for your service dog we require annual renewal to help cover the costs of additional certification materials sent each year. Service Dog Certification is a benefit offered to members only.* When you certify your service dog with us you benefit by being a member of the most nationally recognized service dog certification organization. The main benefit will come from already belonging to NASD as future rules, laws or other regulations attempt to become more strict regarding the use of service dogs because NASD is the only organization which has established a documented procedure thus leading the world in service dog registration.
We use donations and money earned from membership and sales of service dog accessories to market for straight-forward governing regulations to be put into place in opposition to the current, less stringent regulations. Because we are nationally recognized a strong component in maintaining the rules the way they are is to have your service dog (or animal) certified annually. Think about it, renewals are required for dog licenses. Dogs and other animals are required to have annual vaccinations. Membership with us means your service dog has met those requirements annually as verified by your membership identification and annual expiration date.
TERMS AND AGREEMENT – By selecting your membership level option and by completing the financial transaction you acknowledge that your membership fee is considered a non-refundable donation to National Association of Service Dogs (NASD) a nonprofit organization. You further agree and understand that as a member you are eligible to receive the corresponding Certification, ID Cards, Patches, etc. offered to members only, who have met the minimum donation price level chosen and only after all three (3) of the required forms (Owner’s Declaration, Medical Doctor’s Statement, and the Veterinarian’s Statement) have been completed in their entirety and received by NASD via our fax number (877) 329-6273 or our form submission email which is forms@naservicedogs.org. You also understand and agree that failure upon your part to complete the documentation requirements for registering a service dog with NASD does not entitle you to a refund of your donation.
